Recording at 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, this full-HD video camera operates year-round in all kinds of outdoor conditions. Not only can you use it in the rain or when you’re swimming in the pool or ocean, you can also use it for marine sports such as snorkeling and surfing, and even winter sports*2 such as skiing and snowboarding.

Despite being a Full High-Definition video camera, the Xacti CA100 can capture realistic 14-megapixel photos just like those taken with a dedicated digital camera. It can even record higher-resolution images at up to 16 megapixels, using real-time interpolation technology*3.

It used to be that camcorders were reserved only for special occasions. The concept behind the Xacti series, though, was to make it possible to record video clips of spontaneous everyday happenings.
