The Pioneer PDR-04 features a stable platter mechanism ensures stable playback.

The platter supports the whole disc surface to reduce resonance or sagging of the disc. This allows stable, powerful performance with resistance to load variations.The disc rests on a CD-sized platter with the \"music side\" facing upward. Both the pickup and the spindle rotation motor are mounted above the disc platter for accurate recording/play - back with more substantial bass and an improved sense of transparency.

The transport is one of the famous Stable-Platter Mechanism Types. The disc rests on a CD-sized platter with the \"music side\" facing upward. Both the pickup and the spindle rotation motor are mounted above the disc platter for accurate recording/play - back with more substantial bass and an improved sense of transparency.

The 1 - bit D / A converter in the Pioneer PDR-04 packs an 8 times oversampling digital filter, D/A converter and analogue filter into one integrated circuit, reduces jitter due to high clock frequency and shapes noise very effectively. This makes it possible to record superbly without noise interference that can otherwise occur when recording from a digital source to CD-R. Signal oscillation absorption smoothes waveforms and prevents deterioration of sound quality
