The album cover photo finds Adam Green looking spiffy, groomed, and downright hipster-ish, and the production on this fourth album is polished and sophisticated, boasting strings and noir-ish, lounge-y touches. One could conclude that anti-folk songwriter Green is maturing, although his lyrics on songs like "Hairy Women" and "Drugs" remain as willfully off-the-wall and adolescent as his earliest work with the Moldy Peaches.
