We designed the PM660 to be the ultimate integrated amplifier.

As with our other components, its power rating is deceptively conservative. It can deliver a full 80 watts into 8 ohms hour after hour. But when the music starts demanding more, the HOC design has plenty in reserve.

The PM660 can develop a full 360 watts to overcome even the heaviest load, so it can handle the most radical transients without straining or clipping. Most 200 watt amplifiers can't perform that well.

For those who prefer a moving coil cartridge, the PM660 offers a special bonus. Our own ultra clean head amp integrated right into the unit eliminates the need for a costly, space consuming extra component. The PM660 also provides you with a capacitance trim with four different values for standard cartridges. So no matter what brand or type you own, you can match it to the PM660 precisely.

In terms of features, the PM660 has everything an audiophile will need. Like variable loudness contour, accommodations for two tape decks and two pairs of speakers, as well as high and low filters. Plus two way tape copy, audio muting, tone defeat and a mono/stereo/stereo reverse switch.

In addition, a Tape Out selector allows you to record from one source, such as your tuner, while listening to another, such as your turntable.

For the ultimate in critical listening, the PM660 also gives you a Main Direct switch which routes the audio signal directly from the function selector switch to the power amplifier.
