Children are the most important human resource of the nation. They are thebackbone and the future generation of society and also preserve the societal culture and traditions of the society. For the development of society, all-round development of the children is most essential. Separation from the home or family environment, deprivation of parental care, love, affection, warmth, security, acceptance, and discipline during childhood may disrupt their normal emotional and social development. Therefore, it is essential to explore the level of emotional maturity and social adjustment of children that are living an institution.
