** ABOUT REVOX E-36 **

Tape recording technology continued to advance rapidly throughout the early 1960's and the E36 was engineered to provide the mixing facilities, echo and multiple recording possibilities that enthusiasts were seeking.

The E series was the first Revox to be introduced to the British market in any quantity, appearing early in 1962. Many artists, bands & singers making their record takes, masters & mixing on this professional tape-recorder of the Top Highest Class! 

The single magic eye indicator on the E36 could, with the help of a switch, show level for channel 1, channel 2 or the sum of both.

Since Continental standards differed from those in the UK, a revised edition of the E36 was provided to satisfy the requirements of international use as far as possible.

The drive and the electronics of the ReVox E36 stemmed fundamentally from its predecessor ReVox D36.

However, the specifications and capabilities of the device has been improved with a number of improvements. So here was the first "half-life" achieved in the frequency response. This refers to the same frequency response as the ReVox T26 - but at half the speed of 9.5 cm / s. Now appeared the first time the concept of "multi-play" for the dubbing of tracks on which were made possible with a special cable. In addition, a ReVox device has now received a low input microphone (200 ohms, suitable for longer cable lengths). The Flutter could again be reduced in this unit.

In a detailed review of the UK trade journal "Tape Recorder" from August 1962, the author came to the following remarkable conclusion: "... a machine of the highest quality for recording professional-quality".
