Plan Monumental Paris & Environs -large fold-out map of Paris and the areas 1930

The map is folded in a small booklet in which is as well a 12 pages book stapled. This map was issued in various editions from, roughly 1900 to 1937. Cond.: good. A large fold-out map of Paris and the areas around it housed in a small pocket-sized booklet with information in French, English and German. The booklet itself is 11 cm wide and 16 cm tall with 12 pages of information. The map is much bigger, measuring 75 cm wide and 56 cm tall. It folds up to fit nicely into the booklet where it is glued to the inside of the back cover. The booklet and map are meant to guide tourists to the “must see” monuments in and around Paris. The front side of the map details greater Paris with lots and lots of tiny images of the main attractions in the city. Some metro lines and stations are also represented. The reverse side features the areas around Paris stretching from Anet in the west to Villiers-Saint-Georges in the east and Beauvais in the north to Malesherbes in the south. Again, there are lots of images of castles, churches, towers and more to give you an idea of what’s worth visiting outside of Paris. Rivers, railroad lines and main roads are also clearly marked. J.
