The binding design on this volume is an authorized facsimile of the original art binding on the official British copy of the Versailles Peace Treaty, which was signed by King George V and deposited in the Archives of the British Government. In remarkably good condition in red cloth with elaborate gilt decorated front, spine and titles. Slight wear to corners and spine edges. Sewn binding tight and solid, square, endbands. Hinges intact. Top edge gilt. Fore-edge and lower edge rough cut. May be some uncut leaves. Frontis plate with lettered guard. Three other plates, monotone. Internals lightly toned, in remarkably good condition--clean, no markings, no creases or tears.
