Thirty stories of nonviolence and reconciliation show how respect for the dignity of self, others, and nature emboldens people to act peacefully and justly. These stories capture the excitement of action, the encouragement of small acts that make big differences, and the joy of seeing from new perspectives.This book accompanies the art exhibitions created by young people ages 6-19 from Ukraine, Chechnya, and around the world. New stories from Ukraine, Israel, and Palestine have been added to stories from Chechnya, France, Germany, Kenya, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the USA. The artwork and stories depict the power of loving kindness in the lives of both young and old. Friendship, forgiveness, and community emerge in situations where paths of fairness and integrity are not readily apparent.
