Programming buttons

In order for the Doro HandleEasy 321rc remote to work with your device, it must be ‘taught’ the signals that are sent from the original remote. It can also be 'taught' the signals of remote controls from multiple devices at the same time, i.e. channel browsing from the TV and audio volume from the home stereo.

1. Keep the ON and OFF buttons pressed for about 3 seconds. The indicator will show a steady light (if no button is pressed within 10 seconds, the learning mode will be cancelled).

2. Press the desired button on the Doro HandleEasy 321rc remote. The indicator will flash once.

3. From a distance of approximately 1 to 4 inches, point the remote control from your device towards the Doro HandleEasy 321rc remote (so that the signal points of both remote controls are facing each other) and press the corresponding button. If the learning was successful, the indicator will flash twice. If there is an error, the indicator will flash six times.

If needed, keep the button of the original remote pressed for up to 10 seconds to succeed with the programming.

4. After pairing, wait for 10 seconds before testing the programmed button or press the ON and OFF buttons until the indicator turns itself off. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each button, or if the programming fails. Repeat steps 1 and 3 if a button needs to be altered.

Programming buttons with the double signal

Some remote controls send a double signal every other time a button is pressed. If you experience that the Doro HE 321rc remote only works now and then or jumps double steps it is likely that the original remote control uses a double signal. To 'teach' the Doro HE 321rc remote the double signal, follow the instructions below:

1. Keep both ON and OFF buttons pressed for about 3 seconds. The indicator will show a steady light (if no button is pressed within 10 seconds, the learning mode will be cancelled).

2. Press the button you want to program on the Doro HE 321rc remote. The indicator will flash once.

3. From a distance of approximately 1 to 4 inches, point the remote control of your device towards the Doro HE 321rc remote and press the corresponding button. If the programming was successful, the indicator will flash twice. If there is an error, the indicator will flash six times. If needed, press the button of the original remote for up to 10 seconds to succeed with the learning.

4. Press the same button on the Doro HandleEasy 321rc remote once again. The indicator will flash once.

5. Press the corresponding button on the remote control from your device once again. If the programming was successful, the indicator will flash twice.

Repeat steps 2 to 5 for each button using a double signal, or if the learning fails. Keep both ON and OFF buttons pressed or wait 10 seconds to exit learning mode.
